Get Google back.
So if you type a search term into the address bar in Firefox, which search engine does it use?Well somehow, sometime, somewhere mine swapped to Yahoo, and I couldn't find out how to get it back to Google. So I found out (thanks to Robert Stocks) how to "fix" it on my PC, so it uses Google instead.
- Go to Firefox - Help - Troubleshooting information option.
- Change the word "support" in the address bar to "config"
- Read the message and promise to be careful
- Search for "keyword.URL" and see if there is any information in the Values column?
- My version had blurb about yahoo, so if you right click and Modify, remove everything so the value is blank, and click OK.
- Hey presto, fixed.
- Be happy and just a little bit smug!
